Key takeaways
- You need four things to file the SGAC: a valid passport, an email address, your trip details, and your address in Singapore.
- The form has five blocks: personal particulars, contact details, trip details, address in Singapore, and the electronic health declaration.
- The health declaration is part of the same submission, not a separate form, and a false declaration is an offence under the Infectious Diseases Act.
- No photo, no printing, no payment: submission is free at ica.gov.sg or on the MyICA app.
- File within 3 days including your arrival day; the e-Service rejects filings outside the window.
The requirements in one paragraph
The Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) requirements are simple: a valid passport, an email address, your travel details, and the address where you will stay in Singapore. There is no fee, no photo upload, no printout, and nothing to collect in advance. You enter that information on the official e-Service at ica.gov.sg or the MyICA app, and ICA emails you an acknowledgment.
If you would rather not handle the form, we are an independent filing service: $19, and we complete, verify, and submit the official form for you with acknowledgment emailed within 24 hours. The requirement itself, though, is just information.
What to have on the table before you start
Filing goes faster when everything is within reach:
None of this gets uploaded as documents unless you choose an in-app passport scan. The form asks you to type the details, so the checklist is about accuracy, not attachments.
| What you need | Details | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport | Full name as printed, passport number, nationality, date of birth | The bio page of your passport |
| Email address | Where ICA sends the acknowledgment after submission | An inbox you can reach while traveling |
| Trip details | Arrival date, mode of travel, flight number or land conveyance details, last port of embarkation | Your booking confirmation |
| Address in Singapore | Hotel name and address, or the place you are staying | Your hotel booking or host |
| Health information | Symptoms in the last seven days, recent travel history | Your own memory, answered honestly |
The five blocks of the SGAC form
The form groups its questions into five blocks. Knowing them before you start means no surprises halfway through:
What the form asks for, in order
- Personal particulars: full name exactly as printed in the passport, passport number, nationality, and date of birth. Mismatches here are the main cause of hold-ups at immigration, because the card is matched against your passport.
- Contact details: your email address and contact information. The acknowledgment goes to the email you declare, so type it twice if the portal asks.
- Trip details: arrival date in Singapore, mode of travel, the flight number of the leg that lands in Singapore if you arrive by air, or your conveyance details at a land checkpoint, and your last port of embarkation.
- Address in Singapore: the hotel name and address for tourists, or wherever you are staying. Have the booking confirmation open in another tab to copy the exact spelling.
- Electronic health declaration: the symptom and travel-history questions described below.
The health declaration requirement
Every SGAC submission includes an electronic health declaration. ICA's stated purpose is disease control: guarding against importing diseases of concern to protect the health of Singapore residents. This is why the requirement applies even to returning citizens arriving by air or sea.
The current version of the form asks about symptoms such as fever, rash, cough, or a sore throat in the last seven days, and about travel history, including visits to countries in the Americas in the six days before arrival. Questions can change with the global health situation, so answer what the form actually asks on the day you file.
Take this block seriously. ICA warns that those who make false declarations may be prosecuted under the Infectious Diseases Act. If your health status changes between submission and arrival, the Update SGAC feature on the e-Service exists for exactly that correction.
Who the requirements apply to
The checklist above applies to every traveler entering Singapore: foreign visitors on any nationality, IPA letter holders arriving to start a pass, and residents returning by air or sea. Children need their own submission too, and a family can file together with Group Submission.
Two groups are exempt: transit passengers who never seek immigration clearance, and residents, meaning Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders, crossing through Woodlands or Tuas by land. The full traveler-by-traveler breakdown is in do I need a Singapore arrival card.
Timing is a requirement too
The card must be filed within 3 days before your arrival in Singapore, counting the day of arrival. Arrive Thursday 12 November 2026 and the window opens Tuesday 10 November 2026. File outside the window and the e-Service will not accept the submission, so do not try a week early.
The practical order: book flights and hotel first, then file once the details are final, ideally one or two days before departure. The acknowledgment email then reaches you before check-in, where airline staff occasionally ask for it. The full walkthrough is in how to apply for the SGAC.
Two official channels: website and app
Both official channels take the same form. The SGAC e-Service runs in any browser at ica.gov.sg, and the MyICA mobile app, free on the App Store and Google Play, hosts the same submission.
The app adds conveniences for repeat visitors: it can scan your passport to populate particulars, and it saves your profile so later trips to Singapore auto-fill your details. ICA encourages travelers to use it for exactly those reasons.
Whichever you choose, the checklist above is identical. Nothing extra is needed for the app beyond a phone with a camera.
What is not required
A short list of things travelers wrongly prepare for:
If a website demands a photo, a printout, or a payment for the card itself, you are not on the official e-Service. The official channel is free, and ICA does not endorse any paid service, including ours. Our $19 covers filing work only: start an application and we handle the form, the window, and the verification, with a full refund if we fail to deliver.
Not part of the SGAC requirements
- No visa is needed to file the card, and the card is not a visa.
- No printed copy: the acknowledgment email on your phone is enough.
- No photo or document upload, apart from optional passport scanning in the MyICA app.
- No payment on the official channel.
Frequently asked questions
What documents do I need for the Singapore Arrival Card?
Just your passport and your trip information: arrival date, flight number or land conveyance details, and your address in Singapore, plus an email address for the acknowledgment.
Do I need to print the acknowledgment email?
No. ICA matches your card to your passport electronically at clearance. Keep the email on your phone as backup proof of submission.
Is a photo or scan of my passport required?
No. The form asks you to type your passport details. The MyICA app offers optional passport scanning as a convenience, but it is not a requirement.
Does the SGAC require a visa?
No. The card is not a visa and never acts as one. Visa requirements depend on your nationality and are separate from this form.
What health questions does the SGAC ask?
The current form asks about recent symptoms such as fever, rash, cough, or sore throat in the last seven days, and recent travel history, including countries in the Americas visited in the six days before arrival.
Can I file the SGAC without a hotel booking?
You need an address in Singapore on the form. If you are staying with a friend or family, use their residential address instead of a hotel.
How early can I submit?
Within 3 days including your arrival day. Arrive Monday 30 November 2026 and the earliest accepted filing is Saturday 28 November 2026.
